What Is Skilton House Ministries? Skilton House Ministries (SHM) is a multi-faceted parachurch organization that has grown out of the personal outreach of the late Dr. John H. Skilton. SHM serves as a catalyst to bring Christians of various churches together in service to the Lord Jesus Christ. While it is centered in the greater Philadelphia area, its concern extends to the whole of Pennsylvania, into neighboring states, the nation, and the whole world. SHM is involved in several forms of outreach. Operation Brotherhood seeks to assist and organize various churches in the Philadelphia area in providing Thanksgiving Dinners to needy families in the region. This provides the churches involved with an opportunity to witness to the saving love of our Savior Jesus Christ. Another outreach involves the Christian released time education program (CRT) where SHM encourages and assists local churches in the establishment and operation of CRTs for neighborhood public schools. A third outreach is The Sowers Literature and Apologetics Division. For further information on these various avenues of service, click on the menu selections to the left.
