Operation Brotherhood 2011

Operation Brotherhood 2011 was a great success. We were able to reach 2,084 families with a bag of food, a turkey,

and a book of the Bible.

 

We had more help sorting the donations on Thursday evening than ever before and we wish to thank the Korean United Church

for providing their building, as well as dinner and snacks for the workers. We also thank the wonderful grocers who donated

the potatoes and onions along with the plastic and paper bags. It is such a joy to come together and work for our Lord.

 

Seven o’ clock on Friday came around quickly and after a beautiful worship service upstairs, we gathered in the lower room to

fill bags and sing praises to God. By 9:45 p.m. all of the bags were filled and, after singing and prayer, we left with happy hearts,

 knowing we had a part in sharing Jesus’ love.

 

Saturday morning the churches came for their bags. They were given a book of the Bible for each bag.

These books were donated by the Philadelphia Bible Society and helped each church to make this gift more meaningful.

Tuesday, the turkeys arrived in the rain and were all distributed.

 

Operation Brotherhood is held to bring glory to God through His people, and we wish to thank all of those who made

Operation Brotherhood 2011 such a beautiful success.
